2023 Sports Hall of Fame Inductees
Andrew Anderson ('05)
Andrew was an exceptional 4-year varsity baseball player named to the Detroit News All State Dream Team in 2005. As a center fielder, he finished with a school record batting average of .594 his senior year. He was also twice named to All-League and All-District. Andrew went on to play baseball in four NCAA D3 Regional Finals, and in the D3 College World Series. His team was inducted into the Adrian College Hall of Fame. Andrew is married, works as a Senior Analyst for Blue Care Network, and lives in Howell, MI.
Erica (Rose) Olivi ('03)
Erica was an outstanding Falcon soccer player from 2000-2003. She was a 4-year starter who earned all-state accolades three times, including first team in '01 and '02, and Oakland County Dream Team in '02. Her senior year, Erica was captain, MVP, and won the FHS Jack Cotton Woman Athlete of the Year award. She went on to play at Grand Valley State University. As captain her senior year, she helped lead the Lakers to the program's first-ever appearance in the Division II National Championship. Erica resides in Northville, MI with her husband and four young children, and works in corporate communications for Ally Financial.
Jill Haapaniemi ('08)
Jill Haapaniemi was a highly decorated gymnast from 2004-2008, achieving State Champion status in both individual and team competition, and was a three-time team captain. Jill was Individual State Champion in the uneven bars, and floor exercise events; was names All-State in three separate years; and was a member of two State Champion gymnastics teams. She was on two Regional Championship teams, and was All-Observer four times. Importantly, Jill was also named Academic All-State three years. Jill currently lives in Australia with her partner, Dave, and works as a freelance photographer and writer.
K.C. Lopata ('04)
K.C. Lopata was a two-sport standout in football and soccer from 2000-2003. In football, he was named to the 2003 Detroit News All-State Dream Team, while also receiving All-league, Metro North, Observerland, and county honors. He went on to kick at the University of Michigan, was a 2-year starter, and upon graduation held the Big Ten and school record for most field goals in a game (5). He also had numerous local and area achievements in soccer, and was named All-State Second Team. K.C. is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Kinesiology at Wayne State University, and has a business coaching football kicking and punting.
