Please remember to encourage your child to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid beginning October 1st of their senior year. Federal student aid is limited, so students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA right away.

SAVING MONEY FOR COLLEGE IN MICHIGAN
It's never too late to start saving for college.  Being informed on the options can help save a significant amount.  If you are considering a Michigan Education Trust (MET) contract, be aware that the purchase price will increase for contract purchases after January 31, 2009.  Additional information about the MET can be found at www.setwithmet.com.   Information about the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) can be found at www.misaves.com

Our college planning experts have assembled a Grants Guide for High School Students that lists out several financial aid awards specifically for high school seniors. We’re aiming to make college more affordable for all student groups by providing easy-to-use resources.
